The Royal Swedish Navy Cadet Band, is a military band consisting of 70 musicians in the ages 15-25 years. The Royal Swedish Navy Cadet Band co-operates with the Royal Swedish Navy Band and the Armed Forces Music Centre and is stationed in the naval city Karlskrona. The RSwNCB is the only young band in Sweden which has been approved for the Changing of the Royal Guards at the Royal Palace in Stockholm.
The aim of the Band is to meet high quality standards when it comes to marching and music. This is accomplished by rehearsal at regular intervals, musical marches and concerts; both in Sweden and abroad. The Band wants to be a natural step for young musicians who aim for a musical career in the military.
Avanti per Patria! is the latest record by the Royal Swedish Navy Cadet Band. The record features many famous marches from Sweden as well as several international greats. The record was produced by the Blekinge Institute of Technology, BTH. The record can be purchased here.
